We are looking for a Transport Clerk based in our Leeds site to work rotating shifts Monday to Friday 0600-1430/1200-2030. The position holder will ensure the provision of timely, accurate and appropriate administrative and operational information. Also, establish a first-class service to the customer and Yusen Logistics (UK). The position is offering the salary of £ 29436.75 per annum.

Key responsibilities:
- Co-ordinate customer deliveries and liaise with drivers in a prompt and efficient manner, ensuring that customer requests are achieved.
- Ensure that any issues with meeting expectations are communicated both within Yusen Logistics business and to the customer.
- Establish and maintain good customer relationships, acting as the key customer contact for order requests and processing.
- Identify and recommend appropriate resolutions to customer queries or failures.
- Ensure any concerns, issues or variances to instructions are immediately communicated to your line manager to allow appropriate action to be taken at the earliest opportunity.
- Continuously look to improve processes and procedures to drive efficiency and improvement in business operation and customer service.
- Ensure all health and safety procedures are adhered to, including PPE, escalating any concerns to your line manager at the earliest opportunity.
- Ensure all equipment checks are carried out in accordance with procedure, raising any defects to your line manager.
About You
To be considered as a Transport Clerk, you will need:
- Experience in a transport and/or warehouse environment
- The proven ability to interface with customers
- Good organisational skills and a detail-oriented approach
- The ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Proficiency in IT, including Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
