European Operations Clerk

Simpex Express has an exciting opportunity to join their expanding team of professionals in Leeds. The full time European Operations Clerk is responsible for the day to day running within the European team.
Your main tasks include, but will not be limited to:
- Provide quotations for customers, transport solutions, guidance to resolve queries and obtain feedback.
- Input bookings into Boxtop system, send booking confirmations to hauliers.
- Tracking shipments, liaise with drivers and hauliers for updates, keeping the customer informed.
- Arrange Customs documentation and clearances.
- Invoicing
- Chasing Pod’s
- Ensure you comply and follow our company values.
- Perform all other duties assigned or delegated by the Managing Director.
- Some previous knowledge and experience of customs clearance procedures, exporting and importing to and from the Europe _**is essential**_.
- Be organised, resilient and self-motivated with a driven approach of succeeding.
- Commercially focused with a strong sense of customer service and a confident problem solver and communicator.
- Ability to work well within a team, take direction and learn new skills.
- Basic IT knowledge, preferably including MS Word, and Outlook.
- English language required, must reside in the United Kingdom and either be a British citizen or have an unrestricted work Visa for the uk/settled status for EU citizens.
Pay and perks:
- £30-32k basic.
- The company has a good track record of recognising both personal and company performance through discretionary bonuses and social events.

- Leeds, LS27.
- 22 days holiday, plus bank holidays.
- Working hours - Monday to Friday, 08:45 - 17:30 with 1 hour lunch break.
