**Main Purpose of the Job**:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic Digital Inclusion Outreach and Engagement Officer to assist with the development and delivery of digital inclusion support and training to people who are inexperienced, anxious, and at risk of digital exclusion, with a focus on engaging and bringing onboard older people and volunteers from all walks of life across Bath and North East Somerset.

The aim of our digital inclusion project is to enable older people to maintain their independence and resilience by supporting them to go online to access online health and wellbeing services, increase contact with family and friends, to access information and to undertake transactions.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Market and promote the Age UK Bath & North East Somerset Digital Champion Programme in the community, carrying out activities in the community to reach older people directly, inform them about the service, and discuss the benefits of getting online.
- Support the Digital Inclusion Project Coordinator to build and support referral pathways for older people into the service by working with other areas of the organisation as well as building external relationships in the community.
- Work alongside Digital Champions to provide direct support and guidance to older people to get online, in one-to-one and group settings, in community settings or in people’s homes.
- Support older people through the provision of Digital Skills Sessions in scenarios when it is not possible or appropriate for the support to be delivered by a Volunteer Digital Champion.
- To work with older people to understand their individual goals and needs when it comes to being online and accessing technology, to enable a person-centred and learner-led approach.
- To manage record keeping related to older peoples engagement with the service and to ensure data is collected accurately and in line with organisational policies and GDPR. To provide feedback to the Digital Inclusion Project Coordinator about the involvement of volunteers and older people with the service to inform service improvement.
- To support the Digital Inclusion Project Coordinator with managing volunteer Digital Champions, including; planning skills sessions with older people, general project administration and supporting relationship building with volunteers.

**Team Working**
- Recruit and train and develop volunteers to fulfil their role requirements.
- Work closely with service leads within Age UK Bath & North East Somerset to provide skill development and ensure cross departmental referrals.

**Finance and Administration**
- Ensure all personal data is recorded accurately on our database, Salesforce.
- Ensure appropriate records are maintained. Responding to other reasonable requests for information, as and when required.
- Produce information and reports on performance of the Service as required by the Digital Inclusion Project Coordinator.
- Maximise the use of Digital Systems to ensure the administration of the project is as efficient as possible.

**Quality and Service Development**
- Using the Digital Inclusion Handbook developed by Age UK National to assist the Digital Inclusion Project Coordinator to develop an effective and resilient service to cover Bath and NE Somerset.
- Ensure that effective and regular feedback and engagement are in place and suggestions, comments and complaints are recorded, communicated and acted upon.
- Identify and record outcomes to measure the impact of the service.
- Ensure compliance with Age UK National standards and guidelines and any other quality marks in operation.
- Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.
- Capture learning and produce an end of project evaluation report.

**General**:

- To attend staff meetings, away days and other similar staff events.
- To ensure all activities are carried out in line with Age UK Bath & North East Somerset’s vision, mission and policies.
- It is the nature of the work that tasks and responsibilities are in many circumstances unpredictable and varied. All employees are expected to work in a flexible way.
- Some meetings and other events may be held out of normal office hours and may involve travel away from the local area.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: £15,000.00 per year
