**Polypipe Building Products** are focused on delivering solutions to the residential sector. Polypipe Building Products works with national and local developers, plumbing and heating engineers, general builders and groundworkers to deliver above and below ground drainage systems, rainwater solutions as well as hot and cold plastic plumbing products.

**Role**:The Buyers role will be to support the procurement team within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Working as part of the procurement team you will be experienced in both local direct* material and BOM components and local indirect MRO, OEM and contracted services for engineering, facilities management spend for Building Products.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensuring lowest overall cost of acquisition (TCO)
- Ensuring adequate contractual agreements and service levels
- Supporting the maintenance of adequate stores stock holding & rotation for critical items
- Collaboration with the procurement team for the development and maintenance of the procurement strategy
- Working with key stakeholders to support Capex projects.
- Supporting and dealing with Quality Incidents reports & monitoring supplier performance.
- Create sourcing strategy through spend & risk analysis and stakeholder engagement.
- RFx/ITT generation and evaluation through to contract award, ensuring best practice is adhered to.
- Engage in supplier product/service standardisation & rationalisation, reducing whilst achieving savings and maintaining/improving quality standards.
- Work closely with engineering maintenance, facilities, manufacturing & products category management teams to ensure products and projects are delivered at the right price, to specification, within agreed deadlines.
- Working with the procurement team on projects and CI initiatives where applicable
- Promote good interdepartmental communication and company values.

**Requirements**:

- This opportunity would be particularly suitable for someone who has gained Buyer experience within an Engineering and/or Facilities Management environment with a proven record CAPEX project procurement.
- You will have experience in supplier/product standardisation and rationalisation, achieving value for money and have a strategic and pragmatic approach to procurement with a CI mindset
- Ideally you will be CIPS qualified
- Proficient in Microsoft 365
