Temporary Buyer

Calling all operational Buyers from engineering backgrounds One of our most key, exclusive clients are a large, successful engineering business in Doncaster who are looking for a Temporary Buyer to join them immediately for a 6 month period to cover a secondment.

There is also a possibility for this role to become permanent,

The role is 5 days a week on site, with good public transport routes to the site and offers an early finish on Fridays
- Responsibility for purchasing both direct categories including fittings, flexibles, bearings, hinges, gaskets etc
- Liaise with engineers regarding technical drawings to ascertain material requirements
- Work with suppliers to ensure OTIF delivery of materials
- Raising PO numbers accordingly

**Required Experience**:

- Previous experience in Buying is essential
- Experience in manufacturing/engineering environment is essential, ideally of component engineering parts
- Purchasing of direct commodities essential
- Capability in using MRP/ERP and Excel
