- Friday 9am-5pm (37.5 hours a week)

The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS trust plays a huge part in west Essex and east and north Hertfordshire's way of life.

The trust runs a busy hospital, The Princess Alexandra Hospital and provides services at St. Margaret's Hospital and Herts and Essex Hospital. Together serve a population of around 350,000 people.

**What you’ll be responsible for**:

- Provide first point of contact for complainants, people seeking PALS support and staff in relation to complaints, concerns, comments and compliments.
- Provide a full and confidential support to the Patient Experience Team.
- Provide an easily accessible service that listens to patients, their careers and families and offers support, help and information to resolve their concerns and enquiries as quickly and effectively as possible.
- Ability to direct the PALS issues onto to the PALS officers in order of urgency.
- Ability to record, chase and place information onto the designated system used by PALS - Datix

**You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust**:
1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS

2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times

3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

**You’ll have the following skills/experience**:

- Excellent communication skills
- both written and verbal
- Excellent organisation skills
- Previous admin experience
- Previous NHS experience
- NHS System Knowledge
- Datix and clinical systems (desirable)
- Knowledge and understanding of the key principles of patient experience, complaints and PALS
- Advance Ms office knowledge
- Educated to A -Level or equivalent.
- This role may require you to show evidence _NVQ 3 Business admin or equivalent, 2 years’ experience in customer facing role.
