**What you’ll do**
- Join a team of three including the FD to perform day-to-day bookkeeping activities including recording financial transactions, maintaining ledgers, and reconciling accounts.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable including verifying invoices, making payments, and issuing invoices to customers.
- Assist with preparing HMRC-compliant VAT returns.
- Reconcile bank statements, investigate, and resolve any discrepancies.
- Support with preparing financial reports including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date financial records and filing systems.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues across different departments.
- Support the Corporate Services team with ad-hoc tasks and general administrative duties.

**Essential skills**
- Part AAT qualification or higher
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of formulas (XLOOKUP, SUMIF, etc.), functions and data manipulation is essential. Create and manage spreadsheets, perform calculations, and generate reports.
- Comfortable working with large datasets and able to manipulate and analyse data efficiently.
- Knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping, chart of accounts, journal entries and financial statement preparation (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement).

**Desirable experience**
- Understanding and navigation of Sage 50 Accounts including how to effectively use it to streamline financial processes.

£25,600 salary per annum is based on a £23,800 base salary pa and an estimated bonus of £1,800 pa (paid monthly)
