Job Introduction
**Network Management - Technical Specialist Control Room**

**Salary - £27,803 - £31,364 (Grade 5 + 5% shift allowance)**

**Hours - 37**

**Contract type - full time**

We are seeking a skilled Technical Specialist to join our Network Management Control Room team. As a Technical Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the efficient operation and maintenance of our Control Room systems, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements.

The key responsibilities of the role are:

- Operate and maintain Control Room systems including TMS, CCTV, MYCITY, and Car Park control and access systems.
- Ensure all systems are operated in compliance with relevant regulations and legislation, including the Traffic Management Act 2004 and the Data Protection Act 1998.
- Work under the supervision and general direction of the Technical Specialist Control Room Systems.
- Work an average of 37 hours per week, between 06:00 - 20:00hrs Mon - Fri and 09:00 - 18:30hrs Saturday across 5 out of 7 day period.
- Participate in an out-of-hours service between 20:00 - 06:00hrs Mon - Fri, Sat before 09:00hrs and after 18:30hrs, and Sundays, as required.

We are looking for individuals that enjoy working in a fast-paced and changing environment, that have the ability to work under pressure and communicate effectively, and have relevant experience in a highway or customer service environment.

**Our working arrangements**

All council roles are allocated to either a fixed, field or flexible work style. Some roles are agile which enable and empowers employees to maximise their performance and productivity, whilst maintaining a healthy work life balance. Roles with a fixed workstyle work in a fixed permanent council location. Roles with a field workstyle are usually allocation where employees are required to be out working in the community with a minimum requirement for 'touch down' space at any council location. Roles with a flexible workstyle have a flexible base location to meet the needs of the business and employees can work from a mixture of home or any council office, partner/client, or external location, as required to meet service requirements.
