Activity and Wellbeing Assistant

Christadelphian Care Homes exists mainly, although not exclusively, to care for members of the Christadelphian Faith. We operate a number of Care Homes and Sheltered Housing schemes throughout the UK and are able to deliver care tailored to individual needs from low support through to residential, nursing and specialised care, including dementia. Our aim is to enable our residents to us to lead fulfilling lives and participate in regular activities, individually tailored to residents' wishes.
At Kingsleigh House we are looking for a creative Activities and Well-being Assistant on a Bank (zero hours) basis. Together you will work as a team to create an environment that is focused on caring for the physical, emotional and mental well-being for our residents within the home by providing therapeutic, stimulating and engaging activities. You’ll help to deliver activities and arrange events across a broad range of interests and you’ll develop meaningful interpersonal relationships with each resident.
To be successful in this role you’ll need the following skills and experiences:
- Highly organised with the ability to work independently and use your initiative.
- Creative, imaginative and a caring nature, enthusiastic with a positive outlook that is infectious
- Be a team player with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Be kind and have a real genuine passion for working with older people and having an acute awareness of their needs, ensuring everyone is treated with the respect and dignity they deserve.
- Basic computer skills would be advantageous as would a musical ability

Pay: From £11.74 per hour
