Bookkeeper/administration - Part Time

This is Maternity cover with an opportunity for a more permanent part time position.
We are a SME with less than 10 staff but work as a close team and have a very friendly atmosphere. There is lots of already integrated automation with expenses, invoicing and qaccounting, but this needs to be monitored. The Roll is office administration and very basic book keeping, but the applicant must be organised, neat and tidy.
**Responsibilities**:
- Manage all aspects of the company's financial records and bookkeeping processes
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software Xero. Experience with Xero is a must.
- Process accounts payable and ensure timely payment preparations.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions
- Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Monitor and track expenses to ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary financial information for reporting purposes
- Assist with year-end financial audits and tax preparation
Qualifications:
- Proven experience Bookkeeping / Working with xero.
- Proficiency in using accounting software Xero.
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Knowledge of accounts payable processes and procedures
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively

**Salary**: £15.00-£18.00 per hour
