YMCA Norfolk is a local charity who supports young people and families offering meaningful accommodation, training, health and wellbeing, and family support to make a difference in the lives of young people.

**Role Responsibilities - Payroll / HR officer**:
The main purpose of the role is to Support the HR Team to ensure the smooth running of the Payroll/HR function. Processing payroll monthly, answer general Payroll/HR queries on a daily basis and signpost colleagues to information, involving the Senior HROfficer, HR Manager and Corporate Services Director as necessary.

**Person Specification - Payr oll / HR officer**:

- Knowledge of payroll systems, taxation, pension and national insurance
- Strong administration skills
- Competent mathematical abilities
- Excellent communication and Interpersonal skills
- Be highly organised and able to prioritise
- Confident in using MS Outlook, Word and Excel
- Meticulous & Accurate
- Hold a recognised Payroll or Accountancy qualification
- Sympathy with the Christian Identity of the YMCA

**Desirable**:

- Experience of the voluntary or housing association sector
- Knowledge of Sage Payroll and HR Management Systems
- Knowledge of IR35 Legislation Assessments
- Evidence of recent relevant training
