Exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join our Medical Staffing Team based in Bodmin.

This role will provide operational oversight of the Medical Staffing team covering the Mental Health services of the Trust, but will also be required to link directly with the Adult Community Support Medical Staffing team.

The Medical Staffing team strives to deliver high quality and effective services to the Trusts Medical workforce and non-medical managers.

We want an individual who has experience working independently within medical workforce roles preferably in a mental health setting. You must have a positive outlook and sense of humour to accept the challenges of working in a busy and fast moving environment.

You will need to have knowledge of the terms and conditions of employment for Medical Staff within the NHS, including Doctors in Training and an understanding of legislation around mental health. You will need excellent communication skills and place value on team and inter-agency working.

To maintain constructive relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.

Participate in relevant internal and external working groups/projects, services, committees, meetings and initiatives which may be highly complex, sensitive, political, and contain contentious information with the aim of providing information and analytical advice to the teams.

Communicate contractual and personnel risks, issues and dependencies, including briefings and reports to Committees, regional forums, Project teams, sponsors and a range of internal and external staff.

Provide relevant and timely specialist advice and guidance on functional and operational matters.

Work with members of the team and key stakeholder to investigate the causes of any variance from establishment plans and recruitment delivery targets and contribute to the implementation of solutions.

Responsible for preparation of correspondence and complex papers, policies and standard operating procedures as directed by Manager.

We're an NHS community and mental health provider Trust based in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. We deliver community and hospital-based care to improve people's physical and mental health. We also provide specialist support to people with dementia or a learning disability.

Approximately 568,000 people live here. A third of people who live in Cornwall are supported by acute hospital services in Devon. As a result, we also work closely with our partners in Devon. In the summer, and during other holidays lots of people choose to visit the area. This increases the numbers of people who use our services.
