Role: PMO AnalystProcess, governance and controls Reporting toProject Manager Role Purpose
This role works in the Projects Team within Sci-Net, and its purpose is to help in the administration, control and governance across our projects and programmes. Key areas for control include resource planning and making the most effective use of resource to maximize billing. For governance, the key areas are the project approach and documentation. Generally, helping the Project Managers with any aspects of their work
Role Responsibilities
The PMO role is key in ensuring projects are delivered aligned with best practice, and helping with the management and delivery to the customer.
Communications:
- This role can be pivotal in the communications between Sci-Net and our customers - so maintaining our Customer Centric view is extremely important
- Liasing internally and externally on meetings, requirements or actions
- 3rd party liaison and management
- Communicating on plans / phases and milestones - highlight requirements/deliverables in plenty of time
- Attend and participate in project meetings, internal and external, on-site and off-site and coordinating closely with business and customer stakeholders.
- Comfortable working with people in the office, or those working remotely
Resource management:
- Manging all the resourcing across all projects and changes
- Highlighting as early as possible any low / over utilization or conflicts
Project Administration:
- Work with Project Managers on plan preparation
- Updating plans / resource plans throughout the project life cycle
- Review time sheets for accuracy and careful management of driving billability
- Assist with project documentation and ensuring all project outputs are produced
- Work with Project Managers to produce project summary reports
- Helping to manage and log change controls
- Helping with managing budgets, tracking and reporting
- Documenting Project Standards as directed by the Project Managers
Project Monitoring
- Project control
- Quality management
- Risks, Actions, Issues and Decisions (RAID) - identification, logging and reporting
- Other project reporting as required
- Chasing on deliverables (internally and externally)
Other Responsibilities:
- Assisting Project Managers with data analysis. Helping to understand data or inconsistencies for a specific project objective.
- Working with our Customer Services team, on the management and flow of service requests
- Working with Account Managers on understanding and planning in customer requirements
- Ensuring our skills matrix are up to date and working with teams on cross training
Key Skills/ requirements
The Sci-Net teams work incredibly closely, so having a good personality fit is very important, along with the required skills to perform the tasks of the role. Key requirements are:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- To be able to work well in a team environment - and to build good working relationships
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in complex environments, being able to multi-task.
- Prior experience in a busy office environment, project administration, or related roles.
- Desirable to have previous experience in Project environment, process or management
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Due to office location - ability to drive. The role can be office based or hybrid
Salary Range
Dependent upon experience.
