**Machine Setter**

Responsible for the initial setting of machines at the beginning of the shift. You will work closely with the shift leader to achieve right first time and on time operational performance within a safe working environment.

Working 3 shift pattern. Based in Peterlee. £30,000 - £34,440

**Main Responsibilities**

Prepare tooling for quick change overs while complying with company standards

Prepare for production changeovers

Carry out production changeovers following intervention procedures (assembly, dismounting of tooling, peripheral devices, conveyors, etc.)

Ensure production changeover, while complying with company standards minimising the changeover time

Mount tooling on machines while complying with safety conditions and ensuring good working order

Perform the standard setting, in compliance with the production launch,

Ensure the conformity of the workstation layout and cleanliness

Launch manufacture by minimising start-up rejections

Perform and approve start-up checks (safety, presence of documents at the workstation such as production programs, manufacturing data, material components)

Check the good working order of the machine, peripheral devices and tooling

Check the conformity of cycle times

Participate in progress actions in the zone (Lean tools) and generally participate in improving workshop processes

Propose and implement adequate corrective actions/suitable solutions/improvement plans

Analyse micro breakdowns to prevent occurrence of a failure

Participate in selecting improvement actions and implementing them

Inform the line manager of any discrepancies in relation to standards

**Knowledge and Qualifications**
Experience of working with machinery in an engineering/manufacturing environment is essential.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £30,000.00-£34,440.00 per year
