**How will your role contribute at NewDay?**

In joining our Salesforce Platform team within Digital Comms you will consult and support on Salesforce Marketing Cloud delivery, functionality, technical architecture and solutions.

You’ll work alongside a collaborative team of SFMC SMEs to train and support our Digital Comms colleagues in the build, testing and deployment of multi-channel campaigns and automations. You will be key in championing the latest capabilities of SFMC and Datorama platforms and educating our peers in best-in-class implementation and technical solutions to everyday challenges.

**What will you be doing day-to-day?**
- Consult and advise on SFMC delivery and functionality, including representing the SFMC team on projects and working groups as required.
- Support the Digital Comms team in staying abreast of product improvements and outages, and be responsible for driving technical solutions that are in line with our vision for the platform.
- Contribute to the continual improvement of our SFMC data model; including requirement gathering for new data requests and the setup, testing and monitoring of data feeds (batch/API) that support our automations.
- Monitor the health of our journeys and automations, be able to spot and respond to incidents quickly and efficiently keeping an audit trail and informing the relevant individuals. Be proactive with taking on tasks to clean-up platform assets and drive best-practice through education of wider team.
- Work in a fortnightly sprint format using work management tools JIRA and Confluence to ensure all business requirements are detailed, tracked and delivered via User Stories within each sprint.
- Collaborate effectively across the wider delivery & project teams; build positive relationships with key internal partners such as the business transformation, data platforms and testing teams to aid in the delivery of SFMC projects.
- Be a driver in the creation and maintenance of documentation on NewDay platform set-up (e.g. automations, journeys, content and data models etc) and processes that educates the Digital Comms team and wider business on what is live and reduces time to audit and analyse the impact of changes going forward.
- Conduct ad-hoc reporting using SFMC data views and SQL queries that enable us to understand impact of new change projects, provide insight to commercial teams or assist in resolving customer complaints related to communications.

**Skills and Experience**

**Essential**
- Demonstrable experience in using Salesforce Marketing Cloud with solid grasp of functionality and configuration
- (2+ years ideally)
- SQL, Ampscript, HTML and CSS coding experience
- Ability to strive for results and rapidly iterate better solutions using agile methodologies
- Ability to support a full Salesforce project lifecycle from idea creation to implementation
- Highly organised and effective in fast paced organisations
- Excellent data and reporting skills with good knowledge of database management systems and process

**Desirable**
- Experience in a commercial marketing, analytics, CRM, or digital function with an understanding of Commercial drivers and critical metrics
- Experience with using Datorama
- Experience in Financial Services or highly data-driven B2C environment
- Experience with using work management software such as JIRA and Confluence
- SFMC technical support or consultancy background
