Conference & Events Assistant

**About the role**:
We are looking for a personable **Conference and Events Assistant **to support a growing Conference and Events business. You’ll setup rooms ready for client business meetings and events. The event maybe a wedding, afternoon tea, conference, a gala dinner or even a wake so you'll really need to make sure our guests and clients have a personalised experience.

**In a typical day, you’ll**:

- Set up conference rooms in line with client requirements
- Welcome clients on arrival and be their point of contact throughout the day, to ensure they have a great experience
- Check that any equipment to be used during client events are working
- Lift heavy equipment and furniture to set up for any events
- Help our clients with using the equipment, such as presentation projectors
- Help the Food and Beverage team with serving food and beverages during events as and when needed
- Make sure our conference rooms and public areas are kept tidy

**For this role, you’ll need**:

- To be tech savvy - knowledge of presentation media, digital cameras, sound systems would be great
- A welcoming and friendly personality
- To be a people person, with a passion for providing an excellent customer experience
- Great communication skills so that you can work collaboratively with your colleague’s
- High brand standards with a passion for hospitality
- The ability to remain calm in a busy environment
- Good teamwork - we want work to be fun for all of our employees
- The ability to work well under pressure
- A proactive and supportive approach to resolving guest queries and complaints
