**CIM, The Chartered Institute of Marketing** - we support, develop and represent marketers, organisations and the profession all over the world. Our ability to award Chartered Marketer status recognises a marketer’s commitment to staying current and abiding by a professional Code of Conduct.

**Role**: Permanent - Hybrid (2 days per week office based and 3 days remote)

**Hours**: 35 hours per week

**Salary**: £55,000 per annum + excellent range of benefits

**Overview**:
CIM plans and runs a number of events each year to engage our members, partners and customers. These include our flagship events such as the CIM Marketing Excellence Awards, CIM Graduation Ceremony, as well as round tables, online events and regional events. You’ll have a great opportunity to shape the future of CIM events and align to our wider marketing strategy.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- You’ll be developing a clear strategy and plan for National and Regional events, exploring revenue generation opportunities, including sponsorship.
- You’ll be preparing, managing and reporting on budgets for corporate events / exhibitions and regional events.
- You’ll be negotiating and managing contra agreements with exhibition organisers and marketing related events
- You’ll provide feedback on effectiveness of all events / exhibitions / partnered events in terms of delegate feedback, attendance, leads taken and overall ROI.
- You’ll undertake venue research, evaluation and negotiate venue contract

What we'd like**:

- You’ll have a solid understanding of event commercials, focused on ROI and having previous profit and loss responsibility for events programmes.
- You’ll have experience managing a variety of high-profile events which includes exhibition related activities, conferences, award dinners as well as internal staff related events.
- You’ll be able to travel to attend meetings in London and on a Regional and National basis (which may include outside of standard business hours)
- You’ll have made recommendations for new procedures and policies that can improve all areas of events
- You’ll be confident and proactive and a great people manager
