**Job summary**

As Medical imaging Coordinator you will be a self-motivated, pro-active individual with both excellent time management and organizational skills. The postholder will act as an exemplar and professional role-model in embracing core values of **caring, **organized, excellent and inclusive.

**Managerial Responsibilities**
- Provide management and Leadership to Medical Imaging both at City Road
- Recruit and induct new members of staff, including training with regard to trust/ department/specialty policies and procedures
- Monitoring, reporting and management of sickness absence in line with Trust Policy and Procedure
- Co-ordinate annual leave ensuring this is fairly distributed and service provision is maintained
- Oversight of all statutory training and ensure all imaging staff are fully compliant
- Ensuring there are one to one meetings, organized for all staff, to ensure both personal and professional development is monitored
- Undertaking staff appraisals and ensure completion of appropriate documentation and identification of development needs, in line with Trust Policy & Procedures as required by the Head of the Department
- Promote a positive and effective working environment by motivating and communicating with staff at all times
- Promote the profession and represent Moorfields locally, acting as an advocate for ultrasound and photography at a national and international level

**Rota Management**
- Creating daily shifts for Imaging staff
- Maintain and approve staff annual leave
- Maintain staff absence and sick leave and return to work forms, ensuring protocol is consistent and adhered to.
- Create shifts for bank staff
- Assign photographers in the rostering system to service satellite sites on specific days of the week.
- Approve bank staff timesheets to ensure payments are on time
- Approve staff overtime to ensure payments are made on time
- Manage staff time in lieu.

**Service Responsibilities**
- Responsible for ensuring departmental supplies and purchases are made using the Trust’s E-Procurement System
- Ensure there is liaison with Trust’s EBME/IT team to establish and maintain operational ability for all designated Ophthalmic imaging equipment
- Liaise with Medical records department, with regard to patient access requests, train and assist the administrative officers to handle GDPR requests
- Assist the Head of Imaging and Ultrasound in departmental annual budget settings business planning, contributing to the delivery of the Trust’s strategic agenda
- Assist the Head of Department in relation to recruitment at the appropriate grade

**Other Responsibilities**
- Deputies for the Head of Department and / or attend meetings as delegated by senior managers
- Contribute to the development of the profession
- Maintain standards and practice in accordance with Professional Code of Conduct guidelines, national guidelines, and local Trust policies/guidelines
- Be conversant with Trust Policies and guidelines and ensure compliance
- Actively participate in departmental teaching and training sessions
- Actively participate in audit and continuously review own work to maintain and improve quality of imaging performed
- This role will require frequent intensive concentration
