Modernising UKRI's technology and systems is a key element of UKRI's new Operating Model and an important aspect of UKRI's Strategy, to be a world-class organisation and a huge step to making UKRI the most efficient, effective and agile organisation it canbe.

The SHARP Programme will modernise and harmonise HR, Accounting, Reporting, and Procurement (SHARP) services across UKRI, and its shared services provider, UK Shared Business Services (UK SBS) by implementing efficient, seamless, integrated end-to-end processesand a new cloud-based Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.

As part of this programme we are introducing a significant business change in transitioning to a position managed workforce structure (known as 'position management') enabling our HCM technology solution to provide more clarity, consistency and insight intoour talented and diverse workforce. This role will lead on key aspects of the change to facilitate the creation of robust jobs/positions catalogues and supporting the business in transitioning to different HR processes.

You will work with a multitude of stakeholders including senior HR leaders, business leaders, business analysts, local HR and finance teams and key practitioners across the breadth of UKRI & UK SBS.

You will play a fundamental role in unifying different elements of the HR system architecture to build a robust positions structure, constructively challenging the business and setting the conditions to ensure position management is adopted and used in aneffective way to enhance workforce planning without increasing overall administration.

**Essential Criteria**:

- Strategic thinking - Ability to look at the bigger picture and understand and anticipate the impacts across the organisations.
- Ability to develop effective collaborative relationships with a range of stakeholders and have strong influencing and negotiation skills.
- Ability to understand position management and the nuances around implementing a new workforce structure
- Analytical thinking, and ability/drive to work with high volumes of records and effectively use business analyst support to validate data.
- Ability to substantiate judgement calls when balancing the needs of individual business areas with those of the enterprise.
