**Company description**

**Tulip House is a 3 bedded Children's home based in Oxford; we look after children and young people aged 8-17 years, of either gender who present with social and emotional behaviour difficulties (EBD).**

**Location: Oxford**

**Job type: Senior Residential Support Worker**

**Pay: upto £30,000 salary plus £70 per sleep-in (10 shifts a month)**

**Desirable: Level 4 NVQ children and young people residential setting completed or working towards completion**

**Full Job Description**

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced practitioner who has previously worked in a residential children's home for 1-2 years. We work towards developing stability of placement through effective attachments, therapeutic parenting, promoting the independence and maximising young people's potential in life. We are ideally looking for a senior or a carer with 1-2 years experience working in a care home and wants that opportunity of a senior role.

**Key Duties**:

- Shift Lead
- Keywork sessions, risk assessments and understanding of the quality standards.
- Ensuring the motivation and morale of the children and staff team
- Building community links and ensuring the service is meeting the best interests and safeguarding requirements of the children
- Leading, support managing and developing the residential support teams
- A range of ad-hoc duties to ensure the highest quality experience for the children being cared.

**Key Requirements**:

- DRIVER - ESSENTIAL. Full clean licence required
- Have an understanding of Ofsted regulations
- Desirable: QFC/NVQ Level 3 in children and young people in residential care
- Experience and understanding of EBD and challenging behaviour
- Sensitive, empathic approach with resilient nature
- Reflective and reflexive practice
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- A passion for supporting vulnerable children and a commitment to ensuring best practice
- IT Literate

**Job Type**: Permanent

Pay: Up to £35,000.00 per year
