The role holder will provide a full range of clerical and administrative duties to support the Heath Team in the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub - MASH. The role holder will research requests made for health information for adults who have been referred to the MASH. This will involve the research of NHS health systems to provide quality, timely information for the citizen within the MASH safeguarding processes. This will require a high degree of concentration & processing highly confidential citizen related information.

The role requires the deployment of efficient administrative, communication and interpersonal skills together with a good knowledge of IT and ideally health systems. A high level of concentration and communication skills is required by the role holder. The role holder will work closely with key agencies as parts of a co-located MASH which including Police Officers, Social Workers, Mental Health colleagues and others. The role holder will be managed by the MASH Health Practitioner.

Key responsibilities:

- Gather relevant health information to support the decision making process in the MASH to ensure that citizens are able to achieve their agreed outcomes.
- Work within the Adult MASH Health Team making telephone calls and electronic enquiries / data searches by accessing numerous IT systems and health care databases.
- To produce high quality data for use in the MASH process of information sharing.
- Coordinate the MASH Health Teams activities in responding to MASH enquiries, working to time scales as directed by the MASH Health Lead and or MASH Health Practitioner.
- Carry out routine clerical duties as deemed appropriate for maintaining the efficient running of the MASH Health Team.
- Prioritise and organise given workload using own initiative to meet required deadlines as identified by MASH Health Practitioner and or MASH Health Lead.
- Update statistical data sheets as required by MASH Health Team.
- Answer telephone enquiries from partner agencies to the MASH Health Team.
- Work with colleagues and stakeholders to produce plans that use citizen’s individual needs to identify and reduce their vulnerability to risk situations.
- Promote the service strategies across the organisation and to other statutory and voluntary agencies.

Ability to communicate equally, appropriately and effectively with the widest range of individuals and groups across all sectors and levels of society.Ability to organise own time effectively, creating own work schedules, prioritising, preparing in advance and setting realistic timescales for own self and others.
- Ability to react to immediate problems of a highly complex nature with associated risk factors and deliver immediate solutions sometimes under extreme pressure.
- Ability to use IT systems to retrieve, record and update information and willingness to learn to use new systems.
