Overview
The Quality Enhancement Unit is within the Directorate of Student Services and Administration and is responsible for a range of activities relating to the quality assurance and enhancement of programmes, including Collaborative Provision. The Quality Enhancement Unit supports the Education and Student Experience Committee and associated delivery groups and contributes significantly to the development of University regulations, codes of practice and guidelines.

Main
**Responsibilities**:
- Effective and efficient oversight of the University’s quality assurance procedures, including validation/revalidation of new and existing programmes and annual monitoring.- Ensuring that QA processes operate effectively in accordance with the QAA UK Quality Code and other relevant requirements.- Effective and efficient oversight of student academic casework, complaints and student disciplinary procedures.- Collaborating with relevant stakeholders to maintain standards, monitor action plans and implement enhancement initiatives.- Management of the staff and operations of the Quality Enhancement Unit.- Making a significant contribution to University committees and delivery groups, including chairing delivery groups as appropriate.- Development, implementation and monitoring of effective quality assurance procedures in line with sector best practice.- Provision of training and support to academic and professional services staff on quality assurance processes and standards.- Liaising with collaborative partners as required.- Undertaking and/or contributing to strategic quality enhancement projects.- Collection and analysis of data to prepare regular reports on QEU activities and outcomes for internal and external stakeholders.- Identify areas for continuous improvement in academic and operational processes relating to QEU activity.- Undertaking any other such duties as may be deemed necessary from time to time.Other

- In depth knowledge of the structure, management and operation of quality assurance procedures in a higher education setting.- Experience in implementing robust quality assurance procedures, in providing guidance and direction to a team of staff.- Experience of managing quality assurance and enhancement in a higher education setting.- Experience of managing quality assurance and enhancement in a higher education setting.- Knowledge of quality assurance expectations, including the QAA UK Quality Code.Desirable
