Mental Health Services have a real drive to ensure that our workforce has the necessary skills and training to provide excellent care. We are very excited to recruit a Clinical Educator to join the division with a clear remit to support staff development, access to training, supervision, and career progression.

The post holder will be responsible for the planning, delivering and evaluating training across the Mental Health Division. This will include scoping existing knowledge and skill of the workforce.

The post-holder will work in partnership with Clinical leads to establish, implement, and maintain a developing clinical practice model in Mental Health Services (MHS), which will be underpinned with training, supervision, and professional development.

With training and development being a central element in staff retention, the role will be closely linked with the development and training needs of new and existing roles and will be a supportive resource to clinical staff, Team managers, pathways leads and the wider BWC Education team.

To create an environment where staff feel motivated, supported, engaged, well led and are able to engage in professional and career development conversations.

To offer and develop programmes of training and education that facilitate the on-going professional development for all levels of clinical and non-registered clinical workforce.

To act as an expert resource, demonstrating high standards of clinical expertise in the delivery of mental health care.

Maintaining a high clinical profile working with mental health services to educate and develop knowledge and skills.

Establishing and maintaining an effective clinical educational environment that supports staff in the delivery of safe, high quality, evidence-based care for 0-25 year olds (and up to 35 years for our Early Intervention in Psychosis pathway) and their families.

To act as an expert resource, demonstrating high standards of care and clinical expertise in the delivery of mental health care.

To maintain a high clinical profile in the clinical environment supporting and developing staff and contributing to the clinical service needs.

Be highly flexible to support new initiatives, changes to practice and embed evidence-based practice in a wide range of clinical settings.
