Do you have a passion for helping people? Are you excited by working in your local community alongside its residents and our community partners to help them build their digital skill and confidence?

Working in West Norfolk’s with some of the most digitally excluded residents, helping to identify their digital support needs and putting together and delivering a wraparound support package to help get and keep people online and using online services. This support will be delivered using the “trusted person, trusted place” concept, building and maintaining relationships over the length of the pilot.

We are looking for dedicated Community Digital Coaches to work on this innovative pilot connecting people in the community with services. We would like you to become an integrated part of the project helping to shape the service as you work with the community and our partners to support them increase their digital skills and confidence.

Attending local events within the community in village halls, community centres, local schools etc to communicate the service and the offers of support it provides.

As part of your role, we would like you to help to identify gaps in provision and report this back to the Digital Inclusion Strategy programme so that new offers can be provided.

Reporting to the Digital Inclusion Programme Manager, Digital Services, as part of the Digital Inclusion Programme, the ideal Community Digital Coaches will have a can-do approach, is a self-starter, able to manage their own workload and work flexibly within the project team.

You will:

- Offer exceptional levels of customer service to both residents and partners in the community in terms of helping people get online and use digital services.
- Build and maintain relationships with customers understanding their needs and what support would help them.
- Be passionate about promoting the support hub and its services.
- Have a “can do” attitude and be able to use your own initiative to put together a support package for customers and be able to manage your own workload so you require mínimal supervision at the same time we want you to be able to work as part of a team.
- Be proactive, and actively able to anticipate existing and future needs of the customer.
- Be a strong and visible communicator that can build a reputation as a trusted person to the customer and our partners.
- Be collaborative and willing to work as part of the wider project team bringing back how the service works in reality, lessons learned and suggested improvements.
