We are currently recruiting for a Production Co-ordinator vacancy. This is an excellent opportunity to join the business and oversee the productivity and welfare of the staff on site.

**What is involved**:

- To ensure that all plant and machines are maintained and repaired to enable the provision of the service.
- To effectively and efficiently coordinate the processing of (the preparation of linen) instruments and equipment through the process of cleaning, inspection, assembly, packing, sterilisation and despatch within predefined deadlines.
- To participate as an integral member of the sterile processing team and to actively contribute to suggestions of innovation, continuous improvement and best practice.
- To safely operate and monitor machines and equipment (driers, washers, sterilisers) effectively and efficiently and to monitor/report/record all machine downtime.
- To oversee that repairs and missing instruments or equipment are recorded and logged on the Tracking and Traceability computer system.
- To oversee that repaired instruments or equipment are returned to stock or the appropriate coded sets.
- To ensure that instruments not recorded on the computer system and supplementary instruments not identified by hospital are correctly tagged and labelled and logged into the system.
- To proactively monitor, evaluate and ensure that operational activities fully comply with required Health and Safety procedures and guidelines.
- To ensure that all designated staff are kept informed and trained on individual and team health and safety procedures in the workplace.
- To ensure that designated staff are aware of the fire safety procedures and to act as designated area Fire Officer.
- To monitor and ensure that all production processed by designated team conforms to Synergy Health Hospital Sterilisation Services quality guidelines and ensuring complete contamination control.
- To effectively control the use of materials, equipment and consumables within the team work location reporting re-occurring faults and informing the Production Manager of any other requirements.
- To actively assist and support the Production Manager or Operations Manager in the planning and operational process.
- To actively monitor absence levels, maintaining accurate records and liaising with team members in the management of absence.
- To coach, support and guide team members in line with the principles of Performance Management, setting and reviewing goals, acting as a mentor to the team and identifying training and development needs.
- To ensure the effective communication between senior management and production teams.
- To identify and disseminate best practice (knowledge).
- To undertake any other duties or tasks as reasonably required.
