Repairs and Maintenance Support Officer

**Client Details**

A leading and expanding Housing Association are in need of a Repairs and Maintenance Support Officer to join their team. 4 days working from home and 1 day in the office.

**Description**

The key responsibilities:

- Supports the delivery of high quality responsive repairs, voids works and cyclical repairs services within the relevant area of operation. Supports the effective monitoring and managing of the performance and on site progress of Contractors to ensure worksare delivered to the required quality standard, on time and to budget. Provides reports on performance, analysis of activity and expenditure.
- Maintain and keep current housing, repairs and landlord compliance systems to enable the effective management of repairs service ensuring the effective management of the repairs process in line with published guidance
- Working in conjunction with Customer Contact Centre to ensure the consistent delivery of repairs service including the correct diagnosis of repairs and appointment of repairs in accordance with policy and procedures. Liaising directly with customers asrequired to deliver the functions required by this role
- Support the on-going development of processes and procedures in relation to repairs and maintenance to ensure these are consistent across the Group and reflect best practice and reflect front line operational delivery
- Ensure that systems are in place for the effective recording, monitoring and completion of Environmental Health Orders and Right to Repair cases

**Profile**
- Understanding of the repairs and maintenance function within the housing sector and the regulatory and statutory requirements
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience of operating and managing core housing, repairs, landlord compliance and relevant IT systems
- Understanding of the processing, and validation of payment request made by Contractors
- Understanding of Landlord Compliance and servicing requirements
- Ability to promote good practice
- To be able to demonstrate a methodical approach to work, with sound organisational skills, within a team environment but also an ability to work on your own
- A demonstrable commitment to customer service
- To be proficient in operating IT systems, including Outlook, Word, Excel and Housing, Finance and Asset Management database systems
- Minimum GCSE grade C or equivalent in English Language and Maths
