We are currently looking for a **Distribution Coordinator** to join our friendly team based at Tarmac Taffs well office, which is located in Taffs Well, S. Glamorgan. This role is commutable from Cardiff, Newport, Bridgend, Rhondda Cynon Taff, Merthyr Tydfil, Caerphilly, and the surrounding areas.

**Role Responsibility**:
Reporting directly to the Customer service Supervisor, the **Distribution Coordinator** will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of Commercial vehicles owned and operated by Tarmac third party haulage base.

Responsibilities for this role of **Distribution Coordinator** will include:

- Engaging with customers to receive and process concrete orders
- Scheduling delivery times in line with customer expectations
- Working alongside the distribution team and the wider area transport team to provide a cost effective, sustainable, safe & customer focused transport operation for the business
- Strategically planning and building relationships with Third Party haulage suppliers through daily dialogue
- Working with the Logistics and Production Managers to provide a medium to long term plan to meet demands

The role is a Monday - Friday role, with occasion Saturday AM’s (Saturday is worked from home)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft IT packages (SAP and CRM systems preferred)
- Proven experience working collaboratively within a team to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner and to a high standard
- Ability to build rapport and positive relationships with customers and colleagues
- Ambition to learn new skills and achieve your own personal goals, as well as business goals
- Commitment to driving and leading improvements to always contribute to a safe working environment
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
