**About the job**:
Are you a qualified and experienced mental health professional with a passion for supporting individuals in crisis and ensuring their rights are upheld during mental health assessments? 3D Recruit are seeking an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) to join our team and play a crucial role in assessing and supporting individuals experiencing mental health crises. It is a locum role where you will be on an initial 3-month contract with the potential to be extended

**As an Approved Mental Health Professional within this team, you will have the following responsibilities**:
**Requirements**:

- **Assessment and Care Planning**: Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals' mental health needs, strengths, and preferences in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and service users. Develop personalized care plans that address individuals' holistic needs, promote recovery, and enhance their quality of life.
- **Therapeutic Interventions**: Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions and support services to individuals with mental health difficulties, including counselling, psychoeducation, crisis intervention, and cognitive-behavioural techniques. Utilize a strengths-based approach to empower individuals to manage symptoms, improve coping skills, and achieve their goals.
- **Support and Advocacy**: Offer practical assistance, emotional support, and advocacy to help individuals access and navigate mental health services, housing support, financial assistance, and community resources. Advocate for individuals' rights, preferences, and best interests in decision-making processes, ensuring they receive equitable access to services and resources.
- **Crisis Management**: Respond to mental health crises and emergencies in the community, including suicidal ideation, self-harm, and acute psychiatric episodes. Collaborate with crisis intervention teams, emergency services, and other professionals to ensure timely and appropriate interventions to safeguard individuals' safety and well-being.
- **Collaborative Working**: Work collaboratively with mental health professionals, primary care providers, housing agencies, social services, and other community resources to provide coordinated and integrated support to individuals with mental health difficulties. Participate in multi-agency meetings, case conferences, and joint working arrangements to ensure holistic and person-centred care.
- **Documentation and Record Keeping**: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, interventions, care plans, and progress notes in accordance with professional standards and regulatory requirements. Ensure that all documentation is clear, concise, and confidential, with appropriate consent obtained from service users.
- 2 years of Qualified Social Work experience
- 5 years of satisfactory references
- Driving License with access to a vehicle
- SWE Registered
