Centre Reviewer

5 months ago

Birmingham, United Kingdom NHS England Full time

We are currently looking to recruit additional reviewers from across the health and social care workforce and higher education sector to contribute to expanding Centre activity. The purpose of the role is to review evidence submissions (relating to a programme, credential or portfolio) against the advanced practice framework and Centre standards. This is an opportunity to contribute to a high profile and exciting workforce transformation programme, in a supportive and busy team.

We are particularly interested in hearing from individuals with a mental health, learning disability, or midwifery background.

Reviewers are expected to have a clinical or academic background in a health and care profession and experience of at least one of the following: advanced clinical practice, higher education programme accreditation, credential endorsement (or similar), or portfolio review. Reviewers should normally be registered practitioners and be in good standing with their regulator.

Reviewers are required to independently assess or verify achievement of the Centre standards or capabilities using the evidence provided in accordance with Centre operating procedures. On completion of each review, reviewers are required to provide a concise and accurate written report and may be asked to discuss their individual assessment in the event of a divergence in the recommended outcome between a pair of reviewers.

Reviewers may also be asked to contribute to testing out the Centre’s approach to new activity. In this instance, reviewers will also be expected to provide feedback on the process being tested.

Please note, some supporting documentation attached to this vacancy refers to the legacy organisation, previously known as Health Education England, now NHS England. Work is continuing to harmonise the new NHS England recruitment service and any reference to Health Education England will be updated in due course. More information about the transition to the new NHS Englandis available here.

**Reviewers will**:

- make judgements and evidence their judgements, and if required discuss and reach team judgements in order to formulate consensus for a final report.
- attend initial training and refresher training as required which will be online in the first instance but may also include some face-to-face training in the future.
- use Microsoft Teams to attend meetings online in the first instance and if required in person;
- identify and disclose any potential and perceived conflicts of interest when accepting a programme, portfolio or credential specification for review.
- follow the current NHSE policies applicable to the role including confidentiality and data protection and commit to keeping up-to-date with Centre processes and standards
- demonstrate a commitment to their own Continuing Professional Development.
