**Salary**: £29,203 - £31,001 per annum

**Working hours**: 37 hours per week

**Responsible to**: HR & Centre Manager/Chief Operating Officer in the interim

**Background to the project**

Anawim is an independent charity originally founded by the Sisters of Our Lady of Charity.

The Trustees include representatives from Father Hudson’s Society and Our Lady of Charity who worked with them to develop the work, their joint vision and ethos continue to inspire the project. Anawim seeks to support women who are vulnerable due to poverty, homelessness, abuse, rape, addictions. The Anawim Centre provides therapeutic courses and activities to support a range of women to move on in their lives. The women come from many backgrounds often with multiple & complex needs.

**Background to the post**

Applicants for this post need to have experience of working with women with offending, mental health issues and other multiple needs. It is envisaged that this role will be the initial welcome to Anawim for all of the women, visitors, partners volunteers and students, building positive consistent relationships with all group facilitators.

This role will also lead on recruiting and training a team of women’s champions and volunteers to support with tasks that enable our centre to run smoothly.

**Key Tasks**:
**Centre Coordination & Health & Safety**

1. Manage the centre and be the point of contact for all centre staff on practical logistics, ensuring day to day safety and smooth running of the centre.

2. To be the point of contact for all centre related matters and build a positive and welcoming environment for all the women and visitors.

3. Ensure centre complies with Health & Safety regulations to ensure the centre is clean and safe for all users. Coordinate the health and safety of the site and report to the
Hr and Centre Manager, conducting weekly checks and organising Health & Safety maintenance visits including Anawim’s annual Health & Safety audit.

4. Contribute to annual review and updating of Anawim’s Health & Safety - related policies.

5. Oversee building maintenance including security and cleaning. Manage the cleaning and maintenance schedule for the centre, liaising with external agencies where necessary.

6. Oversee Anawim’s room booking system.

7. Work alongside the Finance team to order supplies for the centre including stationary, food and any other items required for effective service delivery.
Obtain quotes for repairs and maintenance to the buildings under the oversight of the HR & Centre Manager and the COO.

8. Manage the incoming post for the centre, taking records of post and distributing to the appropriate teams.

9. Arrange First Aid, Fire Marshal and any other Health & Safety related training so that that there is a designated Fire Marshal and First Aider on site at all times.

10. Coordinate the centre’s security systems including fob access control system, personal alarms administration, CCTV system and all security maintenance across the site.

11. Report to Anawim’s Operations Committee and Operations meetings.

12. Be responsible for storing, distributing and auditing bus passes and visitor badges.

13. To be responsible for monitoring staff home visiting forms and following up safe returns.

14. To take responsibility for monitoring the enquiries inbox.

**Courses & Events**

15. Working closely with course/group facilitators to ensure the room is set out correctly, all course attendance is updated on to civi, and evaluation forms are completed and collated.

16. Play a key role in the arrangements for events and external visitors to Anawim and the collation of the data/register which is input correctly and evaluations are conducted.

**Volunteers & Champions**

17. To work with the ETE Coordinator to recruit and supervise a team of centre-based volunteers and champions to support with the day to day running of the centre.

It is in the nature of Anawim that tasks and responsibilities are in many circumstances unpredictable and varied. All workers are therefore expected to be flexible so that when the occasion arises, tasks that are not specifically covered in their job description are
