Sexual Abuse Support Worker

To provide comprehensive support, care and advocacy for sexual abuse survivors.

Our mission is to create a safe and supportive environment for individuals affected by sexual violence, offering comprehensive services to help them heal and rebuild their lives.
**General**
- Provide empathetic and non-judgmental support to survivors of sexual abuse.
- Conduct intake assessments to understand the unique needs of each survivor.
- Develop and implement individualised support plans in collaboration with survivors.
- Offer crisis intervention and emotional support through one-on-one sessions and support groups.
- Advocate for survivors within the legal and healthcare systems as needed.
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as therapists, counsellors, and law enforcement, to ensure comprehensive care.
- Stay informed about best practices in the field of sexual abuse support and attend relevant training sessions.
**QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE**:
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counselling, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 1 years of experience working with survivors of sexual abuse.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles and best practices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitivity.
- Experience collaborating with community resources and agencies.
