As Align Property Partners continues to grow, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Building Surveyor to join our team, working within the company’s multi-disciplinary workforce of Architects, Engineers and Surveyors and collaborating on diverse projects of refurbishments, extensions, planned maintenance and new build projects with a varied range of clients across North Yorkshire and beyond.

You will use your significant building surveying knowledge and experience to provide a variety of services including those relating to building pathology, design, building surveys and contract administration. From your extensive experience of project management you will be able to work autonomously to produce plans, sections and detail drawings for construction using the latest technology.

In joining Align Property Partners as Senior Building Surveyor, you will play an essential part of a busy and professional team, providing the best and most cost-effective solution for our client’s diverse property portfolio. You will be able to perform within a highly competitive market, working to ensure a strong and efficient performance with a focus on service excellence and service user satisfaction.

From your established building surveying career you will not only maintain good client relationships but also build excellent working relationships in your team. We actively encourage staff development which means you will have responsibility to mentor junior members of staff, providing help and advice where required.

For this position, you will be able to demonstrate the following essential skills and qualifications:

- Hold an RICS accredited Building Surveying degree with significant post degree experience of working as a Building Surveyor
- Member of RICS or ideally working towards full membership via the APC pathway.
- Produce schedules of work and specifications using NBS software and other documentation.
- Coordinate deliverables and work collaboratively with other disciplines including Architects, Mechanical Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Structural Engineers, Quantity Surveyors and CDM Advisors.
- Visit sites to attend meetings, carry out inspections and surveys when required.
- Carry out project design and complete H&S risk assessments to meet current CDM regulation requirements.
- Be committed to maintaining an annual programme of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
- Carry out building surveys and write building survey reports and Schedules of Condition
- A full UK driving license and ability to travel when required
