The Rhino Products group are looking for a Production Planner and Expeditor to join our growing business at our site in Ellesmere Port.

Rhino Products Group are Europe’s leading manufacturer of roof racks, roof bars, steps and accessories for commercial vehicles. In early 2020, we opened a brand new purpose-built 87,000 sq ft manufacturing facility and head office in Ellesmere Port, with excellent modern staff facilities.

In addition to our Ellesmere Port head office, Rhino also have an additional 55,000 sq ft manufacturing site in Deeside, as well as multiple sites across Europe. While many businesses have fallen on difficult times during the past 18 months, we are extremely proud that for the Rhino Products Group, this has been our most successful period to date - growing considerably across the UK and Europe.

Our continued success is only possible thanks to our fantastic team, which we are delighted to be expanding with this exciting new opportunity within the procurement department.

Reporting into the Group Operations Director you will plan the production schedule and manage the flow of material delivered to site in accordance with the planned delivery schedules, minimising any shortages and ensuring continuity of production.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Manufacturing Planning**:

- Plan production through the manufacturing site to weld, paint or assembly.
- Arrange transport and coordinate parts going to pain.

**Assembly Production Planning**:

- Raise works orders for work to be carried out, predominantly assembly and packing work.
- Prioritise works ordres to ensure warehouse levels are at planned target levels.
- Ensure labour resource and component availability to support the plan, review and adjust the plan where necessary.
- Load works orders onto the manufacturing smartsheet.

**Expediting**:

- Raise purchase orders to ensure that all necessary material components are available to meet the production plan.
- Using the materials requirement forecast to determine orders that need placing and also to monitor/adjust ordres already place in accordance with works order requirements.
- Constantly evaluate reorder levels for production parts and also bought in components to ensure slow moving and redundant stock lines are minimised.
- Ensure accuracy of purchase orders and the promised delivery dates from order acknowledgements and supplier communications.
- Communicate to the production team likely issues caused by an delays in material deliveries using the 'red dot' method.
- Chase any late deliveries on a daily basis.
- Coordinate the movement of materials on and off site to paint or between sites.
- Review batch quantities and supplier lead times with purchasing team.
- Report monthly on inventory levels in finished goods and raw components.
- CRFs - responsible for ramp up and ramp down of new/obsolete product ranges.
- CRFs - responsible to manage changes through into production with mínimal disruption.

**Reporting**:

- Collation, management and presentation of key KPIs such as category inventory raw and finished stock. Forecast spend for category.
- Supplier performance - OTIF (on time, in full)

**About You**
- Minimum 2 years in a similar role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, dealing with a large number of SKU's and suppliers.
- Highly organised and motivated
- Analytical skills: excel spreadsheets, pivot tables.
- Confident phone manner, able to challenge supplier feedback when required.
- MS Office
- Able to prioritise work and work to tight deadlines
- Good experience of MRP systems
- Implementation and management of KPIs
- An astute problem solver and trouble shooter
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Able to plan ahead and deal with unexpected changes
- Determined, tenacious with the ability to remain calm and focussed.
