Maintenance Planner

**What are we looking for?**
Do you have a desire to work for a renewable energy provider? We have an exciting new role of Maintenance Planner at our **new build ‘Energy from Waste’ (EfW) plant located near Eastham, on the Wirral Peninsula in Merseyside which could be the role you are looking for.**
**What will you be doing?**
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, working on a 40 hour per week contract, you will be responsible for ensuring overall general site duties are undertaken, including planning of proactive and reactive maintenance activities, site stores control and management, along with general site operational and maintenance support. These activities should be done whilst fostering an ethos of maximum plant reliability, flexibility, availability.
**Summary of key responsibilities**:
- Support the Maintenance Team Leader with the control and delivery of all relevant planned and reactive maintenance activities in line with SHE and operational priorities.
- Support the Maintenance Team Leader with organising resources, spares, inductions, safety acceptor training, etc, to enable works to proceed.
- Support the Maintenance Team Leader and Maintenance Manager with Outage planning, extracting information from maintenance reports and the maintenance management system.
- Liaise with the Operations Team to ensure work activities planned are understood and planned appropriately.
- Ensure day to day plant compliance with all HSE and site housekeeping standards.
- Work alongside the Plant Maintenance Assistant to organise day to day loading and off - loading of general site deliveries and ensuring a goods in and goods out programme is maintained.
- Work alongside the Plant Maintenance Assistant to maintain, control and manage the site stores inventory.
- Work alongside the Plant Maintenance Assistant to liaise with site sponsors on all deliveries to ensure full appreciation is understood on each delivery and that addressee is informed and registers receipt.
- Assist the maintenance team in responding to first line and breakdown maintenance requirements as far as background and experience permits and assisting maintenance functions in any such maintenance activity.
- Use of planning tools such as Microsoft Project and IFS (maintenance management system) for planning, and record keeping.
**Qualifications & Knowledge to succeed**
- A good understanding of all HSE aspects is a fundamental requirement, with IOSH Managing Safely a preferred requirement.
- Qualifications in the use of Counterbalance FLT and Grab Cranes.
- Computer literate with Microsoft Office suite and ideally previous CMMS and Nisoft Eclipse experience.
- Self-motivated individual with exceptional organisational and interpersonal skills
- High level of customer focus.
- Willing to assume significant personal accountability.

This role is a full-time role contracted for 40 hours per week, working Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm.
Some occasional and ad-hoc national travel may be required.
