Derby College Group (DCG) are recruiting a full-time Activ8 Support Assistant to join the Activ8 provision in our Pathways Curriculum. If you’re positive, motivated, ready to learn new skills and be a role model we'd love to hear from you
**Activ8** is a 5-day community provision based at our Broomfield Hall site. The provision is inclusive and led by students, who decide which activities they would like to participate in. Its aim is to improve social skills and build confidence whilst promoting social inclusion and helping prepare for adulthood. Student on our Activ8 provision use public transport and DCG minibuses for trips that are off site. The successful Activ8 Support Assistant will be responsible for facilitating the students’ day and trips.
Our students are at the heart of our person-centred approach, and we support all our staff to develop and embed outstanding skills and knowledge.
**About you**
We value the ability to build good working relationships, the ability to foster confidence and a ‘can do’ attitudes; to support and challenge students to excel. We also value practical problem solving and using your initiative in trying to make our students world a little better every day. You will be keen to work with students supporting them to access their local community and engage them in social activities as part of our Activ8 provision.
