Department: Marketing, Fundraising & Engagement

Contract: 18 month fixed-term contract

Hours: Full time 35 hours per week

Define, set up and lead a business change function in Engage pillar at CRUK that can be extended to and replicated across CRUK. The Engage objective sets out an ambition to inspire more people to take more action to beat cancer. Engage Transformation focuses on how we achieve this by better harnessing data and digital technology to deliver more relevant, trusted, frictionless experiences for our audiences and in turn drive contribution growth.

Drive the change agenda and strategy across people, process, tech and data, including owning the comms and engagement plan

What will I be doing?- Work in partnership with the key transformation leaders managing and guiding the overall Engage transformation (matrix team)- Set up a business change function and design overall approach for Engage to change that puts people first, and creates a long term sustainable change strategy that can be applied across CRUK- Coach change leadership team and sponsors to successfully drive the change agenda and being a critical partner to the leadership team. Accountable for line managing, leading and developing an inclusive and high functioning team. As a line manager you will be responsible for creating a positive culture which recognises success, develops and drives high performance and rewards results to retain talent within the team and wider function.- Understand full spectrum of business change needs and ensure reflected in Engage roadmap- Development of a Business change tool kit that can be used by change managers and SME Change mangers and report into the business change function on progress and implementation of change- Own comms and engagement plan, including narrative, ensuring stakeholder-led delivery- Own capability assessment and reviews progress in addressing capability gaps, including L&D roadmap- Own business architecture including structural diagrams, process flows etc.

What skills are you looking for?- Significant experience and knowledge of change management principles, frameworks and methodologies- Expert practitioner in change management tools and techniques- Demonstrable interpersonal skills and proven ability to influence executive and senior leadership as to why and what change is required- Relevant significant experience of business change planning, including planning, communications, and establishment of processes- Demonstrable ability to interpret business change implications and build those into change programme initiatives using capability assessments and business architecture- Demonstrable ability to interpret and contribute to business process architecture development, encompassing best practice processes- Relevant experience of leading and managing a team successfully- Broad understanding of the charity environment and associated business drivers and critical success factors for change- Ability to work under mínimal supervision, as well as handle difficult and sensitive situations by making sound and independent judgements
