We are seeking a **Project SHE Principal** who will play a pivotal global role in enabling health of discipline in Safety, Health and Environment for the Projects & Development function.

**Core Responsibilities (amongst others)**:

- Support implementation of global safety standards into all P&D projects; ensure contractors' fitness for SHE, develop new approached to further improve safety.
- Define and secure adherence health and hygiene standards & targets.
- Provide data reporting, analysis, insight and advice to the senior team on SHE performance and improvement. Tailor initiatives to respond to
- Secure compliance to defined environmental strategy and standards.
- Facilitate & coordinate all Technical Assurance activities.
- Provide global practice leadership and support to regional P&D structure.

**Qualifications**
- An undergraduate qualification (Bachelors / Honours degree or equivalent) in a relevant technical discipline.
- Understanding of Capital Projects at Group level to optimise value and reduce risk within a global mining organization.
- Understanding of projects/operations and start up across the globe.
- Advanced: Technical proficiency in SHE discipline with a broad knowledge of the discipline across multiple commodities
- Commercial and business thinking to support decision making and generate value. Business case development, quantifying value and addressing stakeholder requirements.
- Understanding of technical safety competencies of health and safety law, risk management and incident management to build a sustainable culture through the right behaviours.
- Knowledge of safety policies, procedures and consistently demonstrating required behaviours and championing safety values
- Knowledge of establishing and implementing a culture within a discipline where safety and health is paramount resulting in zero fatalities.
