Team Administrator to provide administration support to the Hospital at Home service and equipment support to the whole Children’s Community Nursing team.

This service provides community nursing services for children with acute and short-term conditions; long-term conditions and life-limiting and life-threatening illness in children’s homes and community settings.

**Base**: Acorns, Queen Mary's Hospital, Sidcup.

This is a varied administration role and requires the administrator to carry out the following:
To communicate well with members of the public, including children and young people.

To provide administrative support for the Hospital at Home service, which will delivered as an integrated children’s community nursing team.

To work alongside the lead team administrator to prepare the weekly supplies for children and young people, preparing the deliveries and co-ordinating the volunteer team in delivering.

To maintain organisation of the stock rooms, treatment toom, reviewing expiry dates for consumables and maintaining stock levels.

Provide support to team hard equipment administrator when requested and to cover periods of leave.

Keep detailed records of all patients on the enteral caseload, supporting the nursing team in patient order auditing.

To support the team with QI Projects and data collection.

To support the team with booking and co-ordinating nurse-led clinics.

Key Task and Responsibilities

Management responsibilities

To manage own time to ensure effective working processes to meet deadlines.

To ensure both electronic and other filing systems with regards to the equipment and supplies are established and maintained.

To deal with incoming correspondence on a daily basis, distributing and taking appropriate action as necessary, ensuring urgent items are brought to the attention of relevant staff within the team.

To implement and maintain effective client and team filing systems ensuring client records are kept safe, confidential, up to date and accessible.

To be responsible for stock control and to order/make out requisitions as appropriate for supplies and to escalate concerns relating to equipment shortage or known malfunction.

Ability to deal with emotional/stressful situations in written communication, verbally or face to face.

To handle both routine and urgent matters using initiative and with mínimal supervision.
