We have a wonderful opportunity for a highly organised and experienced Team Administrator to join our friendly Northern Case Management Team, who are passionate about providing a non-discriminatory service to people with acquired neurological damage i.e. brain and spinal cord injury for both children and adults of all ages in a domiciliary setting. Our goal is to empower them to develop their full potential and enrich their lifestyle through providing a comprehensive client focused service
You will be supporting a team of Case managers in their role networking services and resources on behalf of our clients to bring about an improvement in our client’s quality of life. Your main aim will be to improve the efficiency of the team and running of the office.
**What you'll be working**:
We can be flexible but you will work a total 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
**What you'll be doing**:
- Establish and maintain efficient office systems for filing, maintaining correspondence and progressing work ensuring appropriate actions are taken
- Provide administration and secretarial support through typing duties, audio-typing, photocopying, distribution and filing of all correspondence.
- Work extensively, using initiative in the absence of the manager by making rapid and accurate assessment of urgent/delicate situations that can be addressed by appropriate colleagues and/or provide solutions and avoid disruptions.
- Co-ordinate the diaries of the Team Members
- Record and manage support workers timesheets and holiday records.
- Arrange co-ordinate and minute various meetings ensuring all relevant paperwork is distributed as necessary. Also arrange any required refreshments, venues, travel arrangements, accommodation etc.
- Assist with the compilation, collation, production and dispatching of various documents, reports and papers.
- Liaise Clients, their families, care/support workers and Solicitors.
**What you'll have**:
- Ability to work as part of a team and as an individual.
- Self-confidence and able to manage challenging situations.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organisational, time management and planning skills, with a commitment to self-management and continuous personal development.
- IT literate. Use of MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Flexible, professional and positive approach to multi-site working.
- Proven reliability in terms of full attendance and timekeeping.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car desirable
**What is case management?**
Case Management is a collaborative multi-disciplinary process which: assesses, plans, implements, co-ordinates, monitors and evaluates the options and services required to meet an individual’s health, social care, educational and employment needs. To enable the individual to meet their rehabilitation goals, returning them as close as possible to their life before their accident.
**What is a case manager?**
Case managers are healthcare professionals including Registered Nurses, Social Workers, Speech and Language Therapists, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists.
The primary role of the Case Manager is to work alongside the Client to identify areas of need and agree with the Client on an action plan to meet their rehabilitation goals and bring about an improvement in their quality of life. The Case Manager will work with the Client to set SMART goals - Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time bound, ensuring that intervention is Client focused.. In partnership with the Client, the case manager will identify appropriate therapists and professionals to work with the Client to meet, and hopefully exceed the Client's rehabilitation goals. Our work includes facilitating the client's and family's adjustment to the injuries; recruiting, training and supporting support workers; and managing care regimes.
