**Planning & Stock Controller - Distillery**

Alcohols Limited is a chemical distribution company which was formed in 1955 as a subsidiary of The Palmer Group. It is a private family company founded in 1805 which is still family owned today.

This role will be based at our new £22m facility in Rugby based at the Europark just off the A5 which is opening in September.

**The Opportunity**

Responsible for the effective planning of order fulfilment, production schedules and stock management the Distillery. Also defining and maintaining appropriate levels of finished or saleable goods stock, and arrangement of order delivery services and documentation.

The role will include occasional travel to the heritage site in Langley, Oldbury.

**What you will contribute**
- Proactive approach to SHE (Safety, Health and Environmental) matters and exhibit SHE leadership through own behaviours.
- Lead the still production plan & coordinating stocks in accordance with the plan
- Lead the scheduling and planning of all orders across division & oversee the execution of the orders & despatch
- Work with Commercial team to regularly review and define the appropriate stock levels for finished and saleable stock
- Maintain appropriate levels of finished good stocks, inc. botanicals, and scheduling of in-bound raw materials orders (liquid and dry goods), ensuring all raw materials are on site/ ordered ahead of production date confirmation.
- Maximise the capacity of the distillery through careful planning
- Lead the distillery planning meeting
- Oversee distillery division stock reporting
- Work with Distillery Manager to ensure appropriate packaging stock levels are maintained.
- Primary point of contact for internal customers and ensure they are fully aware of any potential issues relating to planning and order delivery
- Work closely with distillery production team to understand production risks, propose solutions and communicate effectively to the commercial team
- Identify and validate changes within the schedules to ensure order fulfilment deadlines are met
- Arranging distillery order despatch (inc haulier POs) with the Logistics Manager and that all necessary paperwork is complete well ahead of despatch date.
- Work with Export team to ensure smooth flow of goods across borders and meet expected delivery dates
- Work with regulatory and technical team to clearly understand product data and regulatory needs for distillery products.
- Support complaint and incident investigations as required, ensuring timely close out of assigned actions.
- Purchase of packaging such as polys, drums and IBCs, ensuring the best prices for Alcohols
- Accurate maintenance of the electronic business warehouse (TROPOS) system, specifically around stock and stock movements (inc good in and delivery)
- Oversight for producing EAD, EMCS, W5, W8, DGN and delivery notes as required.
- Manage the Distillery Administrator

**What you will bring**
- Educated to at least A Level standard with a minimum of GCSE Maths, English and Science (preferably Chemistry)
- WSTL Level 2 minimum or equivalent (desired)
- Operational Planning qualification (desired)
- Experience in production planning, strategic RM supply and finished goods despatch. Experience of working in chemical and/or potable sprits production and safe handling of hazardous & flammable materials. Skilled user of ERP business data software (e.g. TROPOS).
- Understanding of DSEAR/COSHH
- Understanding of botanicals supply, and the drinks market/industry (desired)
- Experience managing a small team
- Inclusive style and able to tailor communication for clear, effective messaging across at all levels (and externally)
- Practices attentive, active listening and has the patience to hear people out to enable a balanced, objective discussion.
- Highly organised. Able to develop and clearly articulate plans to effectively to meet both short term demand and mid/long-term supply forecasts
