EDT direction is a progressive manufacturer of scientific instruments and sensors based in River, near Dover in Kent. We supply our unique products to both overseas and domestic markets.

The business is set in the grounds of the picturesque St. Radigund's Abbey. A car is essential as the location is not well served by public transport.
We are recruiting for a full time Office Administrator working five days a week from 9am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and 9am to 1pm on Fridays.

You will be working in a small team reporting to the Managing Director assisting in the smooth running of our small friendly office.
The key responsibilities will be as follows:

- Answering incoming calls and forwarding them to the relevant members of staff
- Receiving customers orders and inputting them accurately into sage
- Process incoming orders
- Creating new customer accounts
- Troubleshooting order issues in a responsive manner
- Supporting and liaising with sales and production staff
- Preparing domestic and export orders for dispatch including paperwork and packing
- Processing new supply purchases
- Reviewing invoices to ensure that they are accurate and correctly formatted
- Creating credit accounts with new suppliers
- Adding new suppliers details to sage
- Matching purchase invoice with delivery notes and inputting them accurately to sage
- Checking the VAT owed on purchase invoices
- Tracking the stock system to maintain correct levels for sales orders
- Basic office administration

1. Office experience with good IT skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office
2. A good telephone manner.
3. Experience with Sales and Purchase Ledger Processing.
4. Familiarity with Sage accounting would be an advantage.

Being a small company EDT direction do not have defined departments so the willingness and flexibility to assist in activities as required to meet deadlines will be a significant advantage to the successful applicant.

**Salary £23-25,000 pa** paid monthly in arrears. Workplace Pension.
20 Days Annual Holiday plus Bank Holidays.
There will be a 3 month probationary period.
