The Role:
Due to the merger of two operational teams an entry level role has become available in the Trade Support and Settlements Team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is wanting to learn all areas of the post trade lifecycle and full training will be given.

This role would suit someone who is a quick learner who enjoys a varied role and working in a fast paced environment. It is essential for you to have with strong numeracy skills and to be proficient with Microsoft excel.

Working as part of the Back office Dealing team you will gain knowledge of all aspects of the dealing lifecycle and will play a key role in ensuring our clients instructions are reconciled and settled In a timely manner. This is a busy and varied role where progression is not limited to how long you have worked here but more on how quickly you can pick up and demonstrate competence in a task.

You will be joining a team with varying levels of knowledge and the environment is supportive and collaborative.

Studying for industry recognised qualifications is encouraged and there will be the opportunity to study for the CISI Investment Operation Certificate.

Key Responsibilities for this role:

- Ensure all trades are confirmed and settled within SLA to a high degree of success and accuracy.
- Report any risks, issues or problems to the Trade Support and Settlements Manager.
- Respond to queries raised by internal teams, and external parties, efficiently, professionally and as quickly as possible
- Ensure all unreconciled market trades and payments are addressed and the required adjustments made.
- Undertake additional projects as directed from time to time, by the Trade Support and Settlements Manager
- Understand key risks and the control framework in the business area.

Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

- Previous Financial services would be an advantage but is not essential
- PC literacy and internet skills
- Able to pick up new tasks quickly and able to retain information
- Strong numeracy and excel skills
- Ability to problem solve
- Ability to prioritise and work to close deadlines
- To be able to communicate clearly and precisely, especially when dealing with complex queries.
- Takes responsibility for their own development and progression
