**Temporary PT Statutory Support Assistant / Admin - Children’s Services**
**Reference no: Knowsley RQ802582**
**Pay rate: £15.80 per hour PAYE** To work in the School Attendance Service with the administration of Penalty Notice, involving speaking to parents and schools and working with the licencing of children who perform, involving speaking to parents and agents. To work within the administration of Attendance prosecutions, putting together court packs and liaising with the courts to arrange summons and to work within the Children Missing Education process to input pupil level information and liaise with schools and other professionals. Key responsibilities:

- Coordinate the administration of Child Employment and Child Entertainment Licences.
- Coordinate the administration of the statutory action with regards to school attendance including Penalty Notices.
- Monitor the actions of the LA in the enforcement of attendance and produce data link to Attendance prosecutions and the issuing of Child Entertainment and Employment licences by the School Attendance Service.
- Send and receive correspondence electronically and manually and manage the IT based Licence tracking system.
- Support the monitoring of SAS budgets and assist in the monitoring of the School Attendance Service Cost Centre Budget.
- Prepare defendant and court summons in case of non-school attendance prosecutions.
- Assist in the preparation of reports, including the presentation of statistics.
- Coordinate the administration with regards to penalty notices.

**Experience, Knowledge & Skills**:

- Minimum of 12 months **recent** experience in a similar role, or context and ideally within a public sector organisation.
- Knowledge of Child Entertainment Legislation to be able differentiate between the requirements for licences.
- Knowledge of the Eproc system.
- Able to demonstrate initiative in assessing the nature of enquiries and/or obtaining the answer when dealing schools, service users corporate partners and external agencies.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and in writing.
- Strong IT skills using Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g. G Suite).
