Credit Controller, Sales Ledger Assistant

Mitchell Gordon LLP, based in Darlington, specialises in providing accountancy, audit, tax and business advisory services to a range of local businesses.

A description of the role:

- Credit Control, monitoring and collection of all monies owed.
- Communicating with clients to ensure prompt and effective query resolution.
- Keeping database and internal systems updated.
- Use of MS Office, Outlook, Excel, Word and internal software, IRIS and Virtual Cabinet.
- Raising all invoices and make sure they are sent out in a timely manner to ensure prompt cash receipt.
- Post cash and accurately allocate against invoice to ensure debtors ledger is maintained and reduced.
- Ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team, with mínimal supervision. Liaising with colleagues in different departments.
- Reconciliation of all income and cash at month end, provision of management information, via relevant reports. Liaising with the bank whenever relevant.
- Friendly, reliable and honest.
- A positive and proactive mindset.
- To be able to work as part of a team.
- Be competent in using MS office products and computers.
- The ability to work under pressure and able to manage their time effectively.
- Mathematical skills.
- An understanding of confidentiality.
- Show excellent communication, organisation and presentation skills.

Full training will be given. This post is not suitable for working from home.

This is a permanent full time position: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, Hybrid working

Salary negotiable depending on experience.
