We are looking for aSupport Workerto join our very well-established All Age Eating Disorders Service.We have a full time vacancy in our Children's Team.

You will play an important role, under the guidance of a qualified professional,providing anddelivering care to patients within a clinical and or home environment. You will support nursing staff and other members of the MDT in the assessment, planning, implementing and evaluation of effective, evidenced based care, ensuring the care is holistic and that and standards of care are enhanced. You will also provide quality, care and support which enables patients to be supported with a recovery focus throughout their care episode, whilst promoting independence and protecting choice, dignity, privacy, and safety.

Our service, covers Berkshire with two community clinics which are community out-patient services that provide evidence-based assessment and treatment for young people under the age of 18 presenting with an eating disorder, including where these disorders are co-morbid with neurodevelopmental diagnoses.

The working pattern for this role is Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 17:00pm.

The role includes delivering care to young people both individually and within their care setting. This can be on a clinic site, in the young person's home or within the acute paediatric setting (Royal Berkshire Hospital & Wexham Park Hospital). You will be expected to work within this complex and variable setting, without direct supervision where clinically appropriate, but reporting to and in collaboration with senior colleagues, to deliver a high standard of evidence-based care and treatment in order to maximise each young person's individual potential.

This post includes working with families and / or carers in collaboration with other members of the multi-disciplinary team and also with paediatric colleagues, children's social care and other Local Authority and voluntary sector colleagues.
