Here at The Maples, we have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Mental Health Nurse or Registered General Nurse with Mental health Experience to join us on a full-time basis at our rehabilitative facilities based in Bristol and the outskirts of Thornbury.

We support adults aged 18-65 with a mental health illness transition out to the community; the service's core philosophy is the promotion of independence, health and social recovery through bespoke rehabilitation and care/support planning for these adults.

You will be able to work with a diverse client group, and a diverse staff team made up of clinical and non-clinical staff within a community setting to achieve positive outcomes for service users in your care.

You will be directly involved in the development of the service from its inception in partnership with the Registered Manager and Senior Management team.

You will work within a team and be self-motivated in order to achieve Maples goals in supporting the client to live independently.

You will be passionate about this work and willingness to learn new skills in all areas of mental health and learning disabilities.

As a Maples Nurse, you will be expected to help provide support and guidance to an innovative and compassionate therapeutic team. You will have a small caseload, working towards recovery pathways within our rehab service. You will help support service users to step through into a variety of community settings and be part of our clinical team.

Part of your duties will include:

- Deliver an innovative and compassionate clinical service working with our frontline staff to take a hands-on person-centred approach in identifying opportunities to deliver individual support packages
- Deliver a recovery focused clinical offering using a wide range of bespoke care planning and risk management strategies.
- Oversee the delivery, action and review of Clinical Care/Support Plans using recovery focused strategies ensuring person centred care
- Assess risk and contribute to the development of robust management strategies in line with positive risk frameworks and guidance
- Lead group sessions and 121 sessions as required
- Work in partnership with The Parks therapeutic team to deliver a recovery focused clinical and therapeutic service
- In partnership with the Clinical lead and psychologist oversee the delivery, action and review of Clinical Care/Support Plans using recovery focused strategies ensuring person centred care

**Hours**: This is a full-time role with the hours of Monday to Sunday, 12 hour shifts. Shifts we have available are: Tuesday/Wednesday/Saturday and Sunday but we can be flexible as an organisation.

**Location**: You will be based in the South Gloucestershire area of GL12 and will need to be able to drive, The Park location has onsite parking.

**What we offer**

We are offering a competitive salary of £35,000 to £38,000 per annum plus a discretionary and non-contractual bonus.

**Who are you?**

Minimum of 1 years’ experience of clinical practice post qualification in the community, rehabilitation services or acute inpatient settings

Proven knowledge and understanding of support and rehabilitative needs of service users.

A clear understanding of policies and procedures and how they inform decision making and employee code of conduct

Proven knowledge and understanding of mental ill health and ability to develop recovery focused strategies

Knowledge of up to date clinical practice

Able to evidence continued professional development

Clear understanding of policies and procedures as well as legislation and guidance related to clinical practice and governance (including CQC Regulations)

Knowledge of Safeguarding Procedures and Reporting protocols. MCA (Mental Capacity Act) and DOL's (Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards), Pharmaceutical Guidelines and Practices

Registered General Nurse or Mental Health Qualification

Valid NMC Pin

Effective interpersonal skills, with the ability and confidence to generate and build effective relationships with colleagues, service users and external professionals.
