We have a full time position within our Flexible Workforce Department for an administrative assistant. This post will be a dual role which works alongside the Medical Rota Assistant/Pre-Approval Administrators and the Staffing Coordinator teams.

The post holder will be a key member of the Medical Rota coordination and Agency pre-approval and will assist in facilitating the delivery of the service by supporting all associated administration processes. The post holder will carry out administrative tasks to ensure the smooth running of a full Medical e-Rostering and Agency Pre-Approval process.

They will contribute to the work of the Staff Bank Team, specifically in proactively matching temporary casual staff availability to the needs of the wards/departments through the computerised database system, ensuring that staff bank shifts are booked and filled in a timely manner to ensure the best possible patient experience and outcomes.

Answer telephone calls in a timely and proactive and professional manner.

Maintain good customer relationships with wards, departments and members of the Flexible Workforce Team.

Liaise with Medical Staff and other Trust staff regarding resolution of payment queries or inaccuracies.

Maintain accurate records of medical staff annual leave, study leave and other professional leave.

Organise the relevant IT access for both new Medical Bank and Agency locums.
