Argus produces commercial conferences for the energy and commodities markets. With a global portfolio of 35+ events, Argus has dedicated conference teams in Houston, London, Moscow, Shanghai and Singapore.

**What will you be doing?**

Due to significant demand for ‘Meeting Rooms’ sales across conferences, this role has been created to cater to our customers’ needs as they seek to maximise their time spent during our conferences by engaging in private meetings with their target market.

Our conferences are held in 5* hotels across the globe in locations such as Miami, Seattle, Lisbon, Istanbul and Dubai. The conferences attract C-level executives who are keen to meet, discuss and negotiate opportunities in, these meetings will often take place within dedicated private meeting room space within the hotel or alternatively in converted hotel rooms suites.

As Meeting Room Sales Executive, you will be expected to engage with attendees of the event and upsell ‘meeting room’ space to them at a number of our flagship conferences.

This is an excellent role for someone wanting to start/develop their career in conference sales.

**ey Responsibilities**

**Sales**
- Work closely with the clients to deliver solutions that solve their business needs and cultivate strong relationships with clients’ senior executives through both in-person meetings and meetings over the phone.
- Work closely with the conference portfolio teams to identify process improvement strategies for generating sales revenues
- Identifying the target market and prospective companies and investigating their business needs in order to engage them to be part of our conferences.
- Engaging CEOs, Vice Presidents and all other senior level decision-makers over the phone, written correspondence or face-to-face, to understand their business objectives and match them with the benefits of attending your conference.
- Develop a continuous pipeline of leads to generate new business opportunities.
- Maintain and produce sales reports for periodic meetings.
- Travel for on-site management.
- Providing impeccable customer service before and after the event.
- Being a passionate advocate for the event and brand.

**Operations and Customer service**
- In collaboration with the conference operation team ensure all clients have booked all the details that they need for their onsite conference rooms including AV and catering
- Assist with the venue brief to ensure that venue contracts are being negotiated with the correct amount of meeting rooms for the anticipated needs for your conferences
- Working closely with our key clients ensure they understand the networking platform app and how it benefits them and can assist them with their onsite goal
- Manage the entire meeting room aspect onsite at key conferences
- Book all meeting rooms sales onto netsuite and send out all corresponding invoices
- Act as a partial credit control for meeting room bookings and chase any unpaid invoices
- With the operations team organise anything needed for the smooth running of meeting rooms onsite including floorplans, signage etc.
- Act as a backup support to the customer service team for sponsorship admin and credit control
