Forte Care are a small, dedicated children's home provider who invests in its staff. We are rated Outstanding by Ofsted.
We are expanding and are seeking Residential Support Workers to join our new children's home in Kingstanding, Birmingham and to meet the demands of our expanding services and to cover posts of our longer-term staff who progress within the company structure.

**The role will involve**:
- Contributing to the young person’s care plans and risk assessments, their review and implementation
- Forming effective relationships with young people, their families (if appropriate) and external agencies
- Ensuring the home is kept clean and in a tidy condition, adhering to the cleaning rota system, encouraging the young people to participate as appropriate.
- Ensuring that high quality records are maintained as required with supervision and advice from shift and Managers.
- Maintaining and promoting residential care work to high levels of professionalism expected by Forte Care and Ofsted
- Meeting the emotional and physical needs of our young people and maximising opportunities for their development
- Providing support to the manager of the home whilst on shift and performing duties as directed
**What we are looking for from you**:
- Experience of working with children and young people (preferred or transferrable skills)
- Evidence that you are empathetic, caring and understand the needs of children and young people who have experienced trauma.
- Evidence that you share the values of Forte Care in your behaviours and work practice.
- Completion or willing to work towards this equivalent of Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People (essential)
- Passion to help nurture children and young people (essential)
- Be able to work shift patterns including sleep ins and weekends (essential) (Rota plan given in advance but likely to be 2 on 4 off)
- Full, UK manual driving licence (essential)
**What we can offer**:
- A salary up to £30,000 per year, depending on qualifications (based on a pay rate of £10.50 to £12.00 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications) and typically undertaking 8 sleeps per month - **Sleep-in’s typically paid at £70.00 per night**)
