We are now looking for a

**Production Planner**

To join our team working for a better future. The position is permanent and the preferred location is Havant, UK.

**As Production Planner, your work will focus on these responsibilities**:

- Creation and management of Works Orders within MRP/ERP system.
- Plan and coordinate production schedule considering customer requirements and production constraints.
- Analyse back orders, current orders and upcoming orders to prioritize, plan, and schedule the production.
- Production Planner will liaise with suppliers, supply chains to remain fully updated on any events resulting in supply discrepancy or interruption.
- Work collaboratively with Customer service to support customer requirements - Order acknowledgment.
- Creation of production schedules for publication
- Maintain Planning parameters to maximise performance.
- Continually improve data processes, and systems, within Operations Planning.
- Proactively resolve arising issues and manage schedule risk.
- Calculation and maintenance of planned inventory levels and buffer stock.

**Development Responsibilities**:

- Demonstration and utilisation of 'Just in Time' principles - Utilising Lean Manufacturing methodology.
- Monitoring and continually improving system data accuracy.
- Reporting on progress, risks, and opportunities to planning team leader
- Working collaboratively with other departments in order to share best practice and to manage internal supply chains.
- Attend and represent the planning team in the daily production meeting ensuring all actions are being addressed.

**To be successful in this role, we expect you to have**:

- Experience in a planning role within manufacturing environment/ industry
- MS Office (Excel / Word / Outlook / PowerPoint / Project).
- Experience of working in operational environment, production, and or supply chain functions.
- Experience with MRP/ERP system (SAP preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication at all business levels
